KIDS YOGA
In all of our children's yoga classes we will enjoy cooperative movement games, themed activities, storytelling, music, and art to engage the natural energy and enthusiasm of the child. Classes explore yoga poses, breathing exercises, visual imagery, and imaginative relaxation techniques while conveying lessons in self-expression, mindfulness, body image, social skills, positive thinking, and environmental awareness. Children aspire towards mastery in ABUNDANCE!!!!!
Grounded Masters
Ages 3-6
Yoga comes to life in these fun and creative classes designed to stimulate a young child’s growing curiosity. Playful yoga poses, animated breathing exercises and imaginative relaxation techniques teach young children about their budding bodies. Sprinkled with imaginative play, music, crafts, picture books, puppets and other age-appropriate props, we’ll spark the child’s inner yogini while enhancing language development and social emotional skills along with motor coordination and play skills. Classes are an equal balance between active & passive poses.
Inspired Masters
Ages 7-10
Kindling the maturing independence of this group these classes encourage a deeper sense of body awareness, self-exploration and interpersonal skills. Alive with flowing sequences, balancing poses, breathing exercises, and creative relaxation techniques, children are sure to relish in their selves. As well, partner poses and cooperative yoga games inspire positive peer interactions that they are sure to carry into their everyday lives.
Rising Masters
Ages 11-14
Expanding minds and maturing bodies come together through independent and group activities that stimulate preteens’ physical strength, emotional balance and self-confidence. Classes integrate traditional yoga poses, flowing sequences, breathing exercises, deep-relaxation and meditation techniques as well as self-reflection. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the physical and philosophical aspects of yoga.
Ascended Masters
Ages 14+
Drawing on their experience through creative reflection, teens explore the physical and philosophical practice of traditional yoga. Teen yoginis develop body and mind strength and flexibility through yoga poses, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation. Journaling, art projects and group discussions create a positive environment that supports self-esteem, body appreciation and tools for stress management.
