Abundance offers an an on-site enrichment program that travels to local schools and other locations/events in Laramie Wy.
An extra curricular program dedicated to enhancing preschool aged children's lives through movement, story, art and music. Allowing self confidence, motivation and physical wellness to improve. abundance also provides positive social, emotional, cognitive and cultural experiences. Adding extra curricular classes to a child's day not only enriches a their education and well being but is a wonderful way to promote excitement for self expression and creativity through Fine Arts.
abundance is creative in nature. Putting a heavy emphasis on self esteem, social relations, independence, freedom within limits, repetition and respect for the child’s natural psychological and physical development, focusing on the whole child and mind body awareness- integrating multiple intelligence's and cross hemispherical activities with movement, story and music.
Each Season has its mood, which the child energetically mirrors. The busyness of Harvest, inwardness of Winter, antsiness of Spring and the bliss of Summer all find their expression through story, song, and movement in our classes. Weaving in a golden thread of nature and environment into the thematic components of our curriculum. Children move independently in space using prompts from me with fun and exciting props made from beautiful, natural materials, weaving in age appropriate movement technique and bodily exploration.
Classes always emphasize musicality and rhythm. Pre- school aged children are so eager to make music their own. Counting and identifying a beat integrates essential mathematical skills that these young minds are so eager to absorb. abundance uses fun world music to promote a multicultural environment. Other times engaging the children with classical pieces from famous composers. We have a very eclectic play list, the type of activities we do and the music played is largely driven by the atmosphere, direction and rhythm of the students.
abundance combines elements of classical dance, creative movement, yoga, hip-hop and drama. Story, acting and imitation to a great extent, reinforce concepts of literacy. With the combination of imagination and concentration engaged we share the JOY of abundance with Laramie's youth!
